I've attached the psych sheet for you to see where your swimmer is at in the Conference lineup. It's purely informational. This is not a heat-sheet and some of the swimmers listed may not end up swimming so it's subject to change. I've added warm up times below and at the bottom of this email is the meet information sheet. If something changes with your ability to attend, I need to know ASAP. Let me know if you have any questions.

Meet Entry

Facility: Six (6)lane, 25 yard pool. Pool depth is 11 feet to 3’ 5” feet at the start and end. Blocks are 30” high. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with USA Swimming’s Rule 104.2.2(c)(4).

The second and fourth swimmers will start in the shallow end of the water for the 100 yard relays.

Timing: Coloradotiming system with touch pads and push button back up will be utilized at both ends of the pool.

Rules:Current Short Course USA Swimming Rules and Wisconsin Swimming Rules shall govern the conduct of this meet. Swimmers do not need to be registered as USA swimmers. This meet is a continuation of the Divisional Meet. Therefore, age is as of the first day of the Divisional Meet which is January 28. Coaches must display their Coaches Card while on deck.

In granting this approval it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event.

MAAP:All applicable adults participating in or associated with this meet, acknowledge that they are subject to the provisions of the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (“MAAPP”), and that they understand that compliance with the MAAPP Policy is a condition of participation in the conduct or this competition. An athlete member at a sanctioned/approved meet who is a previously registered USA Swimming Member 18 years of age or older, who had not completed the Athlete Protection Training (APT) by the date of the swim, will not be able to upload into SWIMS. These athletes will also be considered “not in good standing” and can be subject to fines under Wisconsin Swimming Policy 11.2.1.

Entries &

Eligibility:Only swimmers who competed and placed appropriately in individual events at the Divisional meets are allowed to swim in the Conference meet. Relays qualify by relay indicator (A, B, etc.), not by swimmer. Swimmers are allowed to enter a maximum of five (5) events – four (4) of which may be individual events. NO DECK REGISTRATIONS ARE ACCEPTED.

Swimmers are allowed to enter a maximum of five (5) events – four (4) of which may be individual events. Deck registrations will be accepted up to 20 minutes prior to the meet so long as additional heats are not added.

Swimmers with special needs should be noted on your entry form. Your coach is responsible for notifying the head official during warm-ups of any special needs of your swimmers.

Feet first three-point entries from the starting end of the pool during general warm-ups will be enforced for all sanctioned/approved competition in accordance with recent change to Policy 4.5.2(a).

Any swimmer entered in the Meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or the swimmer must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Admissions: No admission charged. Heat sheets available for purchase.

Scoring: Point/scoring shall be first through twelfth place as follows:

Awards:Medals will be awarded for 1st – 8th place in each individual event and 1st – 6th place for relay events.

Final

Results: Final results will be posted at www.wisconsinswimming.org. Results will be posted at various locations during the course of the meet. Please note that results posted during the meet are NOT official. The official results will be distributed at the end of the day.

Seeding: All events will be pre-seeded, but the following events will be seeded the day of the meet:

Events: 45-46, 63-64, 69-70, 77-78, 91-92

Conduct: Each team is responsible for the behavior of their swimmers. The Meet Director or Administrative Official may remove any swimmer from competition for disruptive or disorderly behavior. In accordance with the Federal Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 – the use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designed areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials, and/or spectators are present. Exceptions may be grated with prior written approval by the Program Operations Vice Chair.

Concessions:A wide selection of items will be available for purchase.
